Consultation
Your new beautiful landscape starts off with a free consultation service. BLD will meet with you in person to get a better understanding of your needs and desires for your outdoor living space. BLD will provide their expertise on what will work and be the best fit.
Site Planning/Analysis
A detailed site analysis will be conducted by BLD at this stage. We will look at various elements within your landscape such as the sun exposure, predominant wind patterns, topography, drainage, soil type, circulation, as well as existing vegetation and structures. All of these factors inform the location and types of plants that will be best suited for your micro climate. BLD will also obtain measurements at this time.

Design
Based on the information gathered in the consultation and the site analysis, BLD will begin to draw up a to-scale conceptual design with a suggested plant palette. BLD will be working closely with the client at this time to ensure that the client is satisfied with what BLD has come up with.
Installation
Once the client and BLD have both agreed on the design, BLD will proceed with the installation phase of the project. During this phase, BLD will pay careful attention to plant needs and will apply soil amendments and fertilizer’s where needed to ensure plants are given the TLC they need in order to get established successfully.

Maintenance
To ensure a healthy and lasting landscape, BLD offers various maintenance services such as mulching, pruning, weeding and the application of fertilizers.
Permaculture Design
Blooming Landscape & Design can transform your landscape into an aesthetically pleasing cornucopia of delicious fruits, vegetables and herbs. Permaculture, which stands for ‘permanent agriculture’ mimics the natural, symbiotic relationships that happen in nature while maintaining the delicate balance and viability of an ecosystem. As a result, permaculture gardens require less water, less maintenance, and are more productive than a traditional landscape. Permaculture gardens or rather ‘Food Forests’ are made up of a hierarchy of plants including ground covers, nitrogen fixers, pollinating flowers, shrubs, and trees that work symbiotically to create a sustainable microcosm in your own backyard providing food, shelter and long term benefits to the health and vitality of this planet.

Trail Planning & Design
Blooming Landscape & Design has extensive experience in trail planning and design. Following the US Forest Service Federal Guidelines and Specifications, Blooming Landscape & Design can design a multi-use trail (hikers, bikers and/or horseback riders) that is not only engaging and aesthetically pleasing but also one that is durable and requires very little maintenance over the long run. BLD starts off with a thorough inspection of your property to determine the areas that are most suitable for a trail. BLD will take into account the slope of the terrain, the aspect, the topography, drainage, vegetation as well as viewshed and points of interest. All of these help to inform the final design to create a meandering, contour trail enjoyed for years to come.
Planning & Design Services
BLD provides land use planning and design services for small and large-scale projects. A thorough site analysis is essential in the beginning phase of any land use project. Whether the objective is to build on the site or restore it back to its native habitat, BLD can determine the constraints and opportunities of a particular place by assessing both natural and cultural elements. Through observation, data collection and mapping, BLD looks at hydrology, soils, topography, vegetation, circulation, climate, existing infrastructure and other pertinent items to get a better understanding of the land. These findings are then synthesized into a road map to inform the design and most appropriate and environmentally sensitive course of action. At this point, BLD will work closely with the client to create a conceptual design and site plan that illustrates the various ways to manage or develop the site. BLD also leads design charettes to give stakeholders and community members an opportunity to weigh in on a design and planning project.
